Sample Applications

AppLogic includes the following ready-to-use application templates.

AppLogic includes the following Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS) application templates:

• Linux
  • VDS_CentOS54: CentOS 5.4 VDS
  • VDS64_CentOS54: 64-bit CentOS 5.4 VDS
• SunOS
  • VDS_OSOL: OpenSolaris VDS
  • VDS64_OSOL: 64-bit OpenSolaris VDS
  • VDS_SOL10: Solaris 10 VDS. This is not distributed with AppLogic. Please contact 3tera technical support for more information.
• Windows
  • VDS_Win03S: Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition R2 32-bit VDS.
  • VDS_Win0364S: Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition R2 64-bit VDS.
  • VDS_Win03E: Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition R2 32-bit VDS.
  • VDS_Win0364E: Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition R2 64-bit VDS.
  • VDS_Win03DC: Windows Server 2003 DataCenter Edition R2 32-bit VDS.
  • VDS_Win0364DC: Windows Server 2003 DataCenter Edition R2 64-bit VDS.

  • Note that these applications are not installed on the AppLogic grid. Please see the Windows Appliance Installation Reference for details on how install and setup thse applications.

AppLogic also includes the following preconfigured infrastructure templates:

• Linux
  • Lamp: basic 2-tier non-scalable WEB application
  • LampX4: scalable Lamp
  • LampCluster: scalable Lamp cluster

• Windows
  • WISA: simple 2-tier non-scalable WEB application (Windows/IIS/SQL/ASP.NET)
  • WISAx4: Scalable WEB application (Windows/IIS/SQL/ASP.NET)
  • Note that these applications are not installed on the AppLogic grid.

AppLogic also includes the following ready-made pre-installed application templates:

• TWiki: web-based collaboration platform
• SugarCRM: customer relationship management system

The sample applications are selected to show typical application infrastructures: single Linux server, single appliance, simple multi-appliance app and a scalable, load-balanced 2-tier application infrastructure. The applications can also be used to host the aforementioned applications online.

In addition, the AppLogic Web Service API application is also included. A sample application that uses the Web Service API is also provided to demonstrate how to use the AppLogic Web Service API for your own projects:

• WS_API: AppLogic Web Service API application
• WS_API_SAMPLE: A sample application that uses the Web Service API

AppLogic includes the following system applications:

• Sys_Filer_Linux, Sys_Filer_Solaris, Sys_Filer_Windows03, Sys_Filer_Windows08: Filer Application used for file system-level volume operations
• BackupHelper: Backup Helper
• MigHelper: Self-migration Helper

The Sys_Filer_Windows03 and Sys_Filer_Windows08 applications are not installed on the AppLogic grid by default. Please see the Windows Installation Reference for instructions on how to install this application on your grid.
