INSSLR - Redundant HTTP Input Gateway with SSL Support - Implementation

Base Class

The LUX5 appliance image is used as the base class for INSSLR appliance.

Class Volumes

INSSLR uses a 110MB boot volume and a 140MB usr (read-only,shared) volume. An additional placeholder volume key is can be used to hold ssl certificates.

Theory of Operation

In its default configuration INSSLR acts as a simple SSL accelerator - it acceptc http and/or https requests and forwards them the the backend appliances. If configured INSSLR runs heartbeat which manages a shared ip address between two instances of INSSLR.

Log Files

INSSLR does not create any additional log files on top of the base class.
