Sample Applications

AppLogic includes 13 ready-to-use application templates.

AppLogic includes the following Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS) application templates:

• Linux
  • VDS_CentOS50: CentOS 5.0 VDS
  • VDS_CentOS51: CentOS 5.1 VDS
  • VDS64_CentOS50: 64-bit CentOS 5.0 VDS
• SunOS
  • VDS64_OSOL: 64-bit OpenSolaris VDS (32-bit OpenSolaris is not supported in AppLogic)
  • VDS_SOL10: Solaris 10 VDS. This is not distributed with AppLogic. Please contact 3tera technical support for more information.
• Windows
  • VDS_Win03S: Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition VDS.
  • VDS_Win03E: Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Edition VDS.
  • VDS_Win03DC: Windows 2003 Server DataCenter Edition VDS.
  • VDS_Win03W: Windows 2003 Server Web Edition VDS.
  • Note that these applications are not installed on the AppLogic grid. Please see the Windows Appliance Installation Reference for details on how install and setup thse applications.

AppLogic also includes the following preconfigured infrastructure templates:

• Lamp: basic 2-tier non-scalable WEB application
• LampX4: scalable Lamp
• LampCluster: scalable Lamp cluster

AppLogic also includes the following ready-made pre-installed application templates:

• TWiki: web-based collaboration platform
• SugarCRM: customer relationship management system

The sample applications are selected to show typical application infrastructures: single Linux server, single appliance, simple multi-appliance app and a scalable, load-balanced 2-tier application infrastructure. The applications can also be used to host the aforementioned applications online.

This version of AppLogic includes the following system applications:

• Sys_Filer_Linux, Sys_Filer_Solaris, Sys_Filer_Windows03: Filer Application used for file system-level volume operations
• BackupHelper: Backup Helper
• MigHelper: Self-migration Helper

The Sys_Filer_Windows03 application is not installed on the AppLogic grid by default. Please see the Windows Installation Reference for instructions on how to install this application on your grid.
