MON Data Collection Interface QA Plan
Create a test application with the following structure:
- For all the calls described above choose a single appliance and check that output of the API to see it satisfies the requirements
- Get the counter configuration of all counters (
http://xx.xx.xx.xx/monapi/desc/*/*/*). It should be exactly the same as what you see in MON web interface.
- Make sure that configuration of appliances from the same class (
wwwX) have the same configuration which is displayed properly
- Choose a counter and monitor its values (for example CPU User for some appliance) while forcing it to change (e.g. generating load on the appliance). The API should return adequate values.
- Check if you can select the configuration/values of 2 different counters on all appliances using the API
- Check that you can retrieve the description of each standard CCA counter (requested by name).
